New House (continued)

Probably turn this area into a shower/toilet.

The new end of the building, to be the kitchen/diner with small utility area off to the back. The ladder to be replaced by a staircase to the loft, which will become a second bedroom.

Views of the adjoining field, currently grazed by cows belonging to a local farmer. (Wonder if I can get an EU set-aside subsidy!)

New House

The completion on this small Normandy house should take place late August/early September. It is near Mortain, in South Normandy (about 23 miles East of Mont St Michel).

The cottage has recently been extended, and this work is almost complete.

The old part looks a bit grotty when compared to the new. I'll get Velux windows installed in the roof, and get the old part retiled. The extension is currently just a shed. This will be knocked through to make it part of the house.

The 'old' kitchen/diner will be knocked through into the downstairs bedroom to make a larger lounge.

The stairwell will be knocked through into the adjoining shed.

The Upstairs bedroom.

The estate agent showing the way through to the small mezzanine area.

Normandy May

Stayed as a guest of John and Kathy while House-Hunting (succesfully).

Kathy and Wendy taking 'the boys' out for a ride.
The cider press put to another use.
